Chevalian has treated many horses with various injuries over the years. The following section provides graphic examples of typical injuries which are treated at the spa, as well as some of the most serious injuries recently brought to the spa. It should be noted that some of the following photographs are quite shocking and therefore not suitable for viewing by persons of a sensitive disposition. This picture shows a typical open wound which responds well to treatment in the Chevalian Spa. |

This case studies shows the terrible wounds sustained by a 2 year old very well bred mare when she fell through a drain in bad weather. The vet had recommended that she was destroyed, but her owner, Charles Edwards brought her to Chevalian to see if she could be saved by using the spa. By the time she arrived at the spa the injury was quite old, with a substantial amount of pround flesh. It took quite a few months to treat the mare, but it is a good example of a success story as Chevalian was able to get the mare sound. The third photograph shows the leg 2 years later, illustrating the outstanding results. |

This pony was referred to Chevalian from a vets in Ellesmere. The pony was called Gambler and it had sustained horrific injuries after becoming entangled in barbed wire. There was a substantial amount of dead flesh and the wound at the inside of the top leg was large enough to fit a fist inside. Through a combination of treatments, Chevalian were able to achieve the following in a space of about one month. Before treatment
